울산 7살 여아 사망 사건 학대 의혹 아버지·동거녀 숨진채 발견

[울산, 옴부즈맨뉴스] 김단 취재본부장 = 울산 7살 여아 사망 사건과 관련해 아동학대 의혹으로 조사를 받던 아버지와 동거녀가 숨진 채 발견됐다.
22일 경찰에 따르면 이달 20일 낮 12시 58분께 경남 밀양댐 인근에 주차된 차 안에서 40대 A씨와 또래인 동거녀 B씨가 숨져 있는 것을 지인 발견해 경찰에 신고했다.
경찰은 스스로 목숨을 끊은 것으로 추정하고 있으며 유서는 발견되지 않았다고 밝혔다.
앞서 두 사람은 A씨 딸(7)을 학대한 정황으로 수사를 받아왔다.
이달 13일 새벽 A씨 딸이 호흡이 없는 상태로 병원으로 이송돼 왔는데, 입에 갈색 거품이 있고 몸 일부에 멍든 자국이 있어 병원 측이 아동학대 의심으로 경찰에 신고했다.
경찰은 딸 사인을 밝히고자 국립과학수사연구원에 부검을 의뢰했고, 고열로 인한 쇼크 등에 의해 숨진 것으로 보인다는 1차 소견을 받았다.
아직 국과수 최종 분석 결과는 나오지 않았다.
경찰은 멍 자국 등을 토대로 아동학대 혐의가 있다고 보고 조사해 왔다.
두 사람은 경찰 조사에서 당시 아이가 열이 나 해열제를 먹이고 재웠으나 열이 내리지 않아 병원으로 데려왔으며 멍은 평소 다른 형제와 자주 다투면서 생겼다는 취지로 진술했다.
경찰 관계자는 "딸 사인이 명확하게 나오면 아동학대 관련 혐의를 확인할 방침이다"며 "다만, 두 사람이 모두 사망해 공소권 없음으로 종결될 것이다"고 말했다. |
