[서울, 옴부즈맨뉴스] 안금연 취재본부장 = KBS 13년차 이하 기자들 273명이 고대영 사장과 이인호 이사장의 퇴진을 위한 총파업과 제작거부를 촉구했다.
13년차 이하 기자들은 4일 ‘우리는 행동을 촉구한다’는 제목의 성명에서“뿌리까지 다 뽑혀 버린 ‘KBS 대지진’의 진앙과 진원은 언제나 뉴스였고 보도국이었다”며 “우리는 감히 고 사장과 이 이사장의 퇴진을 요구한다”고 주장했다.
또 “우리는 고 사장의 임기를 보장해주는 것이 마치 공영방송의 독립성을 지키는 것인양 취급되는 어처구니없는 형식논리를 배격한다”며 “정권이 위로부터 찍어내려 축출하려는 신망 받는 공영방송 사장과, 일선 기자들이 도저히 견디다 못해 아래로부터 쫓아내려는 자격이 박탈된 사장이 어찌 같을 수가 있는가”라고 비판했다.
그러면서 “가장 견고한 형태로 임기가 보장되어야 할 대통령마저도 국민의 뜻에 반할 때 임기를 마치지 못하고 탄핵되는 판국에, 공영방송의 정체성과 가치를 송두리째 날려버린 장본인이 단지 인사청문회 등의 절차를 거쳤다는 이유만으로 임기 보장을 외치는 건 그저 허탈한 일”이라는 내용의 성명을 냈다.
이들은 성명을 낸 13년차 이하 기자 273명의 이름을 공개하며 총파업과 제작거부를 선언했다.
